Metro North Health Forum speakers set to shine

This October the annual Metro North Health Forum is set to showcase a range of impressive speakers passionate about healthcare and wellbeing.
The joint initiative between Brisbane North PHN and Metro North Hospital and Health Service highlights the work happening at the interface between hospital and primary care.
One of this year’s keynote speakers is Professor Leonie Callaway, who has an interest in medical disorders of pregnancy and the prevention of maternal mortality and morbidity. She holds the position of Director of Research within Women’s and Newborn Services at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and holds professorial appointments at both the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology.
Professor Callaway has held a wide range of leadership roles across medical education, clinical service delivery, academia and research and has a long track record in obstetric medicine research. Her appearance at the forum will see her present on the hidden epidemic in maternity care and trauma informed care.
Also speaking at the forum is futurist, writer and international speaker Dr Bruce McCabe, presenting on the technologies that are set to change the future of healthcare.
Dr McCabe is recognised for his pioneering research in innovation and the adoption of new technologies and he holds a PhD in organisational and technological innovation from the University of Technology Sydney.
The forum will see him sharing stories about the future of medicine, computing, artificial intelligence, energy, genomics and more.
