Access a greater range of mental health services with Brisbane MIND Plus
GPs can now support their patients with an expanded range of PHN commissioned mental health and suicide prevention services via the Brisbane MIND Plus referral tool.
These services include low intensity mental health services, psychological therapies and severe and complex mental illness services.
GPs will be able to access these services for their patients via the Brisbane MIND Plus referral tool in Best Practice and Medical Director practice software or via HealthPathways for GPs using other medical practice software.
The Brisbane MIND Plus referral tool provides a single point of referral into a wide range of free mental health and suicide prevention services for both adults and children.
It provides a quick and easy way to navigate PHN-commissioned mental health and suicide prevention services. With service information and referral requirements kept up-to-date, it automatically populates with information about the patient from medical practice software.
The referral tool uses patient information and a few questions to suggest the most appropriate service for the patient and it provides timely feedback on referral status via secure electronic notifications. It also prompts service providers to send progress reports to the GP.
