One of the PHN's roles is to understand the healthcare needs of our community. We do this through analysis and planning, helping to identify and address service gaps.
The first stage in this process is the development of a Health Needs Assessment, which examines the health of our community, the services that are available and any gaps that exist.
The PHN develops our Health Needs Assessment this in consultation with key stakeholders, including our local Hospital and Health Service, clinicians, service providers, community and consumer representatives.
- Health Needs Assessments
Brisbane North PHN has developed a population health snapshot about the health of our region. View the video above or download the Population health snapshot (PDF 324KB).
These tables were submitted to the Department of Health in November 2017 as part of the needs assessment process. They should only be read in conjunction with the full needs assessment.
Where not otherwise provided, Brisbane North PHN is working on making an accessible version of all health planning resources available. Please contact us on 07 3630 7300 for further information on accessing these resources.
